      Beginning in the 1990's the team at Michter's have been doing pioneering work to re-establish the high quality of the American Rye Whiskey category. The Michter's US*1 Limited Release Barrel Strength Rye Whiskey, first released in 2015, marked yet another milestone in this quest.

      The 2021 batches of Barrel Proof Rye marks the first time since 2019 that the whiskey has been offered. The majority of barrels in the release range from 107 to 112 proof with this expression coming in at 111.8 proof.

      Michter’s Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson said “These barrels are at just the right point to highlight the beautiful nuances of a great rye whiskey. This release is a powerhouse”

      Only a limited number of bottles were allocated to the Australian market this year which is a shame, as the popularity of Michter’s across our continent has really taken off.
