In the glass, the 13th Edition reveals a more elegant and cereal-driven style than many heavily peated Islay malts, showing layers of lemon zest, vanilla cream, toasted barley and gentle maritime smoke. The peat influence remains refined and integrated, supporting rather than dominating the whisky’s naturally sweet malt core. Kilchoman’s traditional floor malting and relatively long fermentation contribute texture and complexity, while careful cask management preserves freshness and precision.
