Dalrymple Vineyards Cottage Block Pinot Noir 2019

Starting in 1827, Tasmania has long been recognised as top producer of quality Pinot Noir. The sloping hills overlooking the Bass Straight made the site unique and inspired the Hill-Smith family to purchase the vineyard. Dalrymple Cottage Block Pinot Noir is a single site wine from the cool climes of the Pipers River vineyard. The fruit is sourced from their Cottage Block, a well sheltered from cool north-westerly winds, providing a slightly warmer microclimate than other blocks within the vineyard.

Dalrymple Vineyards Cottage Block Pinot Noir 2019 is dark, deep garnet in colour with deep purple hues. Intense aromas of blackberry, dark cherry and ripe plum dominate the more subtle spices and dried herbs that become more complex as the wine opens after several hours. Juicy plum and dark fruits on the palate are courtesy of a low yielding, long growing season.
