Chateau Mont-Redon Reserve Côtes du Rhône Blanc 2023
Château Mont-Redon will be familiar to those who know and love Châteauneuf-du-Pape being well recognized as the owners of one of the most highly regarded vineyard sites in the appellation. With almost 100 hectares under vine, the majority of Mont-Redon’s vineyards are located in the appellations most favoured area, the high plateau which is covered in the large round pudding stones that Châteauneuf is so well known for. This remarkable property is in fact a single vineyard. Whole-bunch pressed, then cool-fermented in stainless steel, without malolactic conversion. Matured on fine lees for a few months and bottled in the February following vintage.
The Côtes du Rhône Blanc by Château Mont-Redon from the Rhône Valley offers a bright, copper-gold colour in the glass. In the glass, this offers aromas of pomelo, peaches, black cherries, peach and mirabelles, complemented by other fruity nuances. On the palate, its starts wonderfully aromatic, fruity and balanced. On the tongue, this balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety and light texture. The finale inspires with beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by granite and clay.
