Product Description:
Bremerton Walter’s Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 is a premium Langhorne Creek Cabernet from one of South Australia’s respected family-owned producers. The wine forms part of Bremerton’s Premium range, created from concentrated, high-quality parcels of fruit from Langhorne Creek. This region is well known for producing Cabernet Sauvignon with generosity, structure and distinctive dark-fruited character. Walter’s Reserve is crafted to show both varietal power and elegance, with deep Cabernet fruit supported by savoury complexity and finely defined tannins. Individual Cabernet Sauvignon parcels are fermented in open vats, allowing careful extraction of colour, flavour and structure. The wine is then matured in new French oak barrels for 22 months, building spice, polish and further complexity.
An additional period of bottle maturation before release helps the fruit, oak and tannins integrate more fully. The 2021 vintage shows classic Cabernet notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, bramble and earth, layered with chocolate, mint, fresh herbs and subtle oak spice. It is full-bodied and structured, with brisk acidity and firm, sinewy tannins pointing to further development in bottle. While already expressive with decanting, it is a wine that rewards patience and is well suited to short- to medium-term cellaring. Its combination of dark fruit concentration, savoury depth and oak-derived spice makes it a strong match for roast beef, lamb shoulder, grilled steak, venison, mushroom dishes and mature cheddar. This is a serious and cellar-worthy Langhorne Creek Cabernet with both regional richness and classic Cabernet structure.

Reviews & Accolades
“If you can, pop this in the cellar for another year or two as it needs more time to amalgamate. If you open it today, decant and serve it with robust fare. It’s still in a primary phase, all blackberry and blackcurrants, mint and fresh herbs, with choc-mint and oak spices. The full-bodied palate is coated with sinewy, astringent tannins and brisk acidity. All pointing to more time in bottle.” — Halliday Wine Companion, 90 Points
