THE AROUND THE WORLD WINE PACK INCLUDES:

    The BABO Chianti 2018, 750ml
The Babo Chianti 2018 begins with an aromatic cherry and blueberry taste, then the palate shows juicy cherry and darker fruits. Cherry pip also. Light of weight through the mouth, quite effortless. Acidity is fine and unobtrusive perfectly pitched with a lick of fine ‘al dente ‘tannin complementing.

Fruit is destemmed only no crushing. Fermentation occurs in open fermenters for 10 days then pressed out into large (old) format French oak ‘botti’ and concrete tanks where it completes malolactic fermentation and is matured for up to 6 months prior to bottling.
The name BABO is an Italian wine making term, referring to the measurement of Baume.

Clomarin Picpoul de Pinet 2019, 750ml
Picpoul is a great alternative to crisp, dry whites such as Sauvignon Blanc or Riesling without the overwhelming pungency Sauvignon or the piercing acidity or Riesling. The nose is delicate and fresh with white fruits and citrusy-floral notes and subtle sea-spray reminiscent of its coastal home. The palate gives lemon and florals hints and is punchy and very refreshing. This is the perfect drink for washing down oysters. Delicious.

    Terrazas Reserva Malbec 2018
Terrazas Reserva Malbec is grown in the famous Mendoza region of Argentina. Terrazas is coloured a beautiful ripe red with shades of purple. On the nose, an intense floral and fruity note engages on the forefront. Presence of violets, ripe black cherry and plums tangle beneath, with toasted spices, black pepper and chocolate rounding it out. A sweet and juicy mouthfeel helps deliver finesse and delicate tannins. Finished with a fantastic black fruit flavour. Enjoy with most beef dishes and don't skimp on the spice! Aging potential for up to 10 years for added texture and complexity. This new style of Terrazas Reserva Malbec is the conclusion of many years of trial and error to get the exact flavour that winemaker Niolas is after.

Surrounded by the high peaks of the Andes, Terrazas's vineyard is located in the heart of Mendoza's Lujan de Cuyo and Uco Valley. With the extremely high altitude, low rainfall and rocky soil, wines made in the region are pushed hard for hydration and nutrients. The results of successful wine in this region develop intensely vivid flavours. The climate also assists in lowering acidity, which assists in the winemakers in producing the purest expression of each wine.

    Mesta Tempranillo 2019, 750ml
Mesta Tempranillo 2019 vintage is produced from their own organically farmed vineyards in Uclés (Castile, Spain). This wine is juicy, vibrant, and unoaked. Expressive and well-defined aromas of red berries, rosemary and a touch of liquorice. Fresh and with an excellent persistence on the palate, with round texture and a satisfyingly dry finish. Medium-bodied and very versatile, this wine can be paired with grilled meats, pasta, or tapas.

The Mesta was a powerful association of shepherds in Medieval Castile, controlling the routes for herding sheep across the country. The Mesta vineyards are situated deep in the land of the Mesta. They are still passed over by flocks on their annual migration, a reminder of ancient rights and a cultural cue for continuing co-existence with nature. Trough organic viticulture and respectful winemaking, they produce wines of great purity, reflecting the unique personality of their land and grape varieties.

    Fat Bastard Chardonnay 2018, 750ml
In order for Fat Bastard to produce high quality, fruit driven, food-friendly wines, the winemaker sources grapes from the best regions around the world. The Fat Bastard Chardonnay is no exception. Their long-standing relationship with their growers has ensured consistently excellent quality for each Fat bastard varietal, vintage after vintage.

This wine is a deep golden yellow colour. The nose hints of stone fruits, honeysuckle, and vanilla, leading to a delicate, buttery sweet almond croissant. The palate is luscious and opulent with juicy peaches, grilled pineapples, followed bu a natural textural nutty, mealiness.

    Pittnauer Pitti 2018, 750ml
The grapes for the Pittnauer Pitti 2018 are sourced from various top sites around Gols with younger vines and soils incorporating red pebbles, clay and limestone. A blend of two indigenous Austrian grape varieties, Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch, grown on black soils close to the Pittnauer winery in Gols in Burgenland, Austria. The 2018 Pitti was matured for 12 months prior to bottling.

Cranberry meets sarsaparilla meets cherry cola aromas. Crunchy textured, shows more of the cherry cola, cranberry juice flavours, crisp texture, ultra fresh feeling, good dusting of spice, peppery finish and corkscrew of tannins in tow. Great drinking here. - April, 2019, Mike Bennie, The Wine Front 92 points
