Abbe Rous Banyuls Grand Cru Cuvee Castell des Hospices 1998
The vineyard of Banyuls vintage is located in the extreme south of France at the meeting point between Pyrenees and Mediterranean. The vines are located interraces on hillsides of shale, from the seaside to the bottom of the valleys of the hinterland. For this vintage of Cave Abbé Rous Castell des Hospices 1998, they select old vines, very sunny on shale soils of lean, eroded and not very fertile.
Mahogany with tawny fringe. Powerful on vanilla prune aromas of black pepper and cocoa. Structured and remarkable by its length, an intense fruity of prun and quetsche jam. Enjoy with dried fruit or candied orange chocolate, on blue cheese or simply for pleasure, with a coffee or a cigar. This wine may have sediment.
