An expression of Tasmania’s latitude and clarity, bottled with finesse. The 42 Degrees South Premier Sparkling NV is Frogmore Creek’s signature non vintage release, sourced from the pristine Coal River Valley. Made using the méthode traditionnelle, it blends predominantly Chardonnay with Pinot Noir to create a sparkling wine defined by purity, structure and quiet complexity. The name 42 Degrees South reflects the island’s position on the map and its distinct advantage in cool climate viticulture, where long daylight hours and maritime breezes allow grapes to ripen slowly, developing natural acidity and fine texture.

Fruit from select parcels is whole bunch pressed to retain delicacy, with a small portion of reserve wine included for consistency and depth. Bottle fermentation and extended lees ageing add a subtle creamy weight to the wine’s crisp core. The result is a Tasmanian sparkling of real balance, bright and elegant, yet carrying the savoury and autolytic detail that defines top class sparkling wine. It feels grounded in its place of origin, delivering a confident and uncluttered expression of southern Tasmania’s terroir.
