Aged Japanese plum liqueur with depth, detail, and quiet intensity.
Crafted in Oita using Oushukubai ume, Uchu Umeshu is matured for a minimum of three years before release. The extended ageing lends this umeshu a deep amber hue with copper glints, and a layered profile that blends sweet, savoury, and subtly medicinal tones. Aromas of Portello, spearmint, and herbal lozenge evolve into soft stone fruit and spiced red berries as the liqueur opens in the glass.
Full-bodied and viscous, it carries generous sweetness and warming alcohol, balanced by faint astringency. Notes of plum, peach, and wild berries meet nougat, vanilla, and a touch of tonka bean, offering complexity without excess. Serve chilled over ice, lengthened with soda, or enhanced with a few drops of Japanese whisky.
