Product Description
Elegance and intensity converge in this hallmark South Australian Shiraz. The 2024 Torbreck The Struie Shiraz blends fruit from the Barossa and Eden Valleys, capturing both the richness of old-vine Barossa sites and the lifted structure of Eden’s higher, cooler terrain. This dual-regional approach defines The Struie’s identity: plush, powerful and grounded in place, yet always balanced by finesse and detail.
Each parcel is vinified separately by Torbreck, with open-top fermentation and basket pressing before aging for 18 months in seasoned and select new French oak. The 2024 vintage continues the house tradition of bottling unfined and unfiltered, preserving the texture and depth intrinsic to both site and variety. While full-bodied and expressive in its youth, this Shiraz is built for medium-term cellaring, evolving gracefully over time with savoury detail and oak-woven complexity.
A wine of poise and substance, it reflects the Torbreck philosophy of honouring Rhône varietals through Barossa soil, crafted for enjoyment alongside grilled meats, roasted game or robust vegetarian fare.
