Initially, a selection of indigenous and international grape varieties adorned the vineyards, but with time, the focus shifted to Pecorino and Trebbiano Abruzzese, reflecting the estate's unwavering commitment to quality and showcasing the unique characteristics of Abruzzo's native grape varieties. Among Tiberio wines, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo stands proudly as one of their most celebrated creations. This full-bodied red wine is crafted from the Montepulciano grape, flourishing in the clay and limestone soils that define the region. Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is a distinct style of wine produced in the Abruzzo region of Italy. It is made primarily from the Montepulciano grape variety, which is known for its dark red colour and rich flavors. The term "Cerasuolo" refers to the cherry-like color of the wine, which is achieved through a shorter maceration period during fermentation. Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo wines are typically dry and medium-bodied, with vibrant acidity and a refreshing character. They often exhibit aromas and flavors of red berries, cherries and floral notes. 

The Tiberio Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo 2022 is made from 100% Montepulciano grapes. It is classified as Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOP and is produced in Cugnoli (Pe). The vineyard's soil composition is limestone, and the vines are trained using a canopy system with a density of 2500 vines per hectare. The average vine age is 52 years, and the yield is 50 Hl. During the harvest, the grapes are hand-picked in October. The vinification process involves cold maceration with the skins and only the free run juice is used, without any pressing. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, and the wine is aged in the bottle. The Tiberio Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo 2022 is a vibrant and captivating wine with its beautiful bright pinkish-red colour.
