The Macallan Classic Cut Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml (2020 Edition)

For their 2020 edition of the Classic Cut, Macallan has produced a higher strength single malt delivering a full and heightened flavour profile. This is the fourth edition in the limited edition annual series and it demonstrates Macallan's ongoing quest to seek out the extraordinary and offering a remarkable flavour journey.  

For the first time in this series, the Whisky Master Team at Macallan was provided the freedom to explore different cask types within their range, creating this peerless single malt. Polly Logan, The Macallan Whisky Maker, used her experience and skill to craft this single malt using a combination of ex-bourbon American oak casks and sherry seasons European oak casks creating a unique flavour and character. 

The resulting whisky has aromas of vanilla with honey, candied orange peel, sweet raisin and sultana with thyme and fresh oak. A warming palate with ginger, sweet orange, honey, and vanilla all blend together. A sweet and zingy finish travelling through the lingering fresh thyme.
