Hugo Gramp’s grandfather planted some of the first vines in the Barossa in 1847, and Hugo carried on that tradition throughout his own life. Taken too young as the result of a plane crash the winery was renamed St.Hugo in his honour. To this day the St Hugo wines are some of the most collected and revered in the world.
A ripe, juicy Grenache Shiraz Mataro which showcases some of Barossa’s best varietals in a balanced, food-friendly wine. Vibrant crimson with purple hues. Raspberry and spice with a subtle floral lift and background hints of cedar. Soft red and dark berry fruit with chalky tannins and a line of acidity which provides great length.
