Here glass of world fame was produced from 1725 onwards and from 1847 onwards under the management of the Stölzle family until 2006. In their family "Kugler" there has been a connection to glassmaking for a long time - the "Kugler" was a qualified hollow glass fine grinder. Ernest Kugler has conducted and documented extensive research on former glassworks in the Gföhlerwald.
Their work has achieve outstanding recognition and customer satisfaction both national and internationally from the highest professional circles. The glasses are designed to meet the highest demands of the art of sommelier whilst at the same time combining all the advantages to meet the needs of the modern household. Their glasses are fine and delicate with a contemporary design to fit the modern ambience.
With a unique surface and perfectly angled sides that only hand-blown crystal glass can offer, the bowls of the Sophienwald glasses literally grip the aroma molecules and guide them towards your nose. This provides a full flavour spectrum of the wine.
The slightly burgundy shape of the Phoenix Champagne Glass gives the grape varieties room to develop without losing the carbonation too quickly. The special tapered shape brings the aromas directly to the nose, and the larger goblet displays beautiful bubbling. Wide variety of aromas emerge without losing freshness.
