The Schild Family have been grape growers in the Barossa Valley since 1952. Growing the estate from one vineyard to over 134ha across 11 precious sites. The Schild Estate Wine label was created as a small side project but quickly grew in reputation and distribution worldwide. The family have since turned their focus back to the vineyards, but maintain strong ties to the brand and an ongoing connection by continuing to provide the premium fruit that goes into the much loved wines.

The Schild family have journeyed from early German pioneers to becoming one of the Barossa's oldest family owned grape growers and most successful wineries. After three generations the Schild hands still tend to the vines, working together to produce premium wines.

Hailing from a selection of family-owned vineyards located in a small area in the Southern Barossa, it’s the generational wisdom and knowledge of the land that produces premium fruit each vintage. The Southern area of the Barossa Valley has higher altitudes and a slightly cooler climates to play with. Hills, valleys and cool gully winds provide delicate and balanced nuances shown between seasons and sites. Schild Estate wines are handcrafted to ensure the expression of each vineyard remain present in each sip. With super fine tannins and vibrant fruit flavours, Schild Estate Wines are refreshing and full of character.

The Schild Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep, ruby, purple in colour. Aromas of dark plums, blackcurrant and pencil lead graphite. Flavours of black cherries, chocolate, and subtle cedar wood spice. Soft fine tannin. Focused and poised.
