The Rockford Shiraz VP 2021 is crafted from a special parcel of Shiraz fruit sourced from the renowned Kleinig Family vineyard in Moppa, a northern Barossa site known for its ability to achieve exceptional ripeness while retaining balance and structure. Inspired by traditional Vintage Port styles, the wine is fortified during fermentation with mature wood-aged brandy spirit, preserving natural grape sweetness while building complexity and longevity. The resulting wine captures the depth and intensity of old-world fortified wines while expressing the unique character of Barossa Valley Shiraz.

Following fortification, the wine is matured in seasoned oak, allowing the components to integrate and develop additional richness and complexity. The 2021 vintage benefited from favourable growing conditions, producing fruit with concentration, freshness and excellent natural balance. Layers of dark fruit, spice and chocolate are supported by a velvety texture and impressive persistence.
