Pizzini Rosetta Rose 2024
Like many Australian family stories, the Pizzini families began with voyage. A voyage that saw Rosetta and Roberto Pizzini making the epic crossing from Trentino, Northern Italy towards the shores of Australia in search of the good life. While the passage was fraught, and the promised life initially less rosy than they’d hoped—it was their famous Italian resilience that kept pushing them forward towards their dream. It's with this same spirit of passion and dedication that Alfredo and Katrina Pizzini embarked on their winemaking journey back in the
late 1970s. They poured their hearts into cultivating their first vines on the property, and in 1994, their vision became a reality with the release of the very first Pizzini wine.
The Rosetta is a tribute to the Pizzini matriarch. Rosetta loved her garden; it was her escape from long days working.
This rosé has been made from selected Sangiovese and Nebbiolo vineyards that are noted for producing soft, delicate and fruity styles of wine. The fruit was picked, crushed and left on its skins for 8 hours. After pressing, the juice was then slowly cool fermented at 15˚C to retain fruit aromatics and freshness. The Sangiovese delivers aromas of strawberries and wild raspberries, with dry and crisp acidity & fresh cherry and plum flavours, with the Nebbiolo lending length. Great example of dry Australian Rose here. Evokes summer days & al fresco dining.
