Precision, vibrancy, and house style consistency define this iconic non-vintage Champagne in large-format presentation. Piper-Heidsieck Brut Champagne NV 6L is the maison’s flagship cuvée, crafted from a complex blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay sourced from over 100 crus across the Champagne region. Founded in 1785 in Reims, the house has built its reputation on producing expressive, fruit-driven Champagnes with clarity and balance. The non-vintage Brut is aged on lees for a minimum of 24 months, with a significant proportion of reserve wines included to ensure depth and consistency across releases.
In this 6L format, the wine benefits from slower maturation, enhancing both freshness and integration over time. In the glass, it presents a lively and inviting profile, combining bright fruit expression with subtle autolytic complexity. Notes of citrus, orchard fruit, and toasted brioche are layered with a creamy texture and fine, persistent mousse. The structure is driven by Pinot Noir, giving backbone and presence, while Chardonnay contributes lift and finesse. The palate is energetic yet composed, with acidity providing precision and balance throughout. There is a seamless interplay between fruit purity and gentle savoury undertones, reflecting careful blending and élevage. The larger format further accentuates the wine’s elegance, making it particularly suited for celebratory occasions and extended service. This is a Champagne that delivers both immediate appeal and stylistic integrity, offering a polished and consistent expression of the Piper-Heidsieck house style. It pairs effortlessly with seafood, light appetisers, and festive gatherings.

“The palate offers great freshness with notes of citrus, almonds, stone fruit, and a hint of mint. The bright acidity and lively bubbles are balanced by a creamy texture and slight toasted bread note on the finish.”
“Creamy and well-balanced, this lively Champagne offers flavors of ripe black currant and black cherry, candied lemon peel, and brioche, plus fragrant notes of anise and clove.”
“Exotic fruits on the nose, lively and brisk in character. Persistent small bubbles with a ripe and zesty acidity.”
Piper-Heidsieck's roots trace back to Florens-Louis Heidsieck, who created the original company of Heidsieck & Co to pursue his ambition of “creating a cuvée worthy of a queen”. He fulfilled his dream perhaps earlier than anyone could have expected: once Marie Antoinette had tasted his creation, she became the first Heidsieck & Co ambassador. Florens-Louis’ nephew, Christian Heidsieck joined the venture alongside Guillaume Piper and once Florens-Louis died in 1828, the duo decided to continue the adventure side by side, founding Champagne Piper-Heidsieck.
In 2011 both Charles Heidsieck and Piper-Heidsieck were bought by EPI Group headed by Christopher Descours, he has pumped significant finance into the companies allowing them to grow their vineyard holdings, grape purchasing and production. The brands are now growing their sales fast after many decades of decline. Today, production occurs alongside sister company Charles Heidsieck in an ultra-modern functional wine-making facility on the southern outskirts of Reims.
Piper-Heidsieck’s philosophy is founded on the belief that Champagne should embody both precision and pleasure, balancing technical excellence with expressive character and generosity. Since its establishment in 1785, the house has remained committed to crafting vibrant, elegant Champagnes that capture the energy and diversity of the Champagne region’s terroirs. Piper-Heidsieck places great importance on meticulous vineyard selection and long-term partnerships with growers across the appellation, allowing the house to build complexity and consistency into its blends year after year. Innovation and creativity have always played an important role in the maison’s identity, yet these modern influences are grounded firmly in traditional Champagne craftsmanship and rigorous attention to detail. The cellar philosophy emphasises freshness, structure, and texture, with careful reserve wine management and extended ageing helping to create depth while preserving vibrancy. Piper-Heidsieck also believes Champagne should be approachable and celebratory, crafted not only for prestige but for sharing, emotion, and memorable experiences. Sustainability and responsible viticulture have become increasingly central to the house’s direction, reflecting a broader commitment to protecting the vineyards and environment for future generations. Through this combination of boldness, refinement, and respect for heritage, Piper-Heidsieck continues to produce Champagnes that are both contemporary in spirit and deeply rooted in the traditions of Reims and Champagne.
