Product Description:
Wild yeast, cool-climate fruit, and a deft hand—Chardonnay with shape and swagger. Paringa Estate’s Peninsula Chardonnay 2024 is a sharp snapshot of Mornington Peninsula’s potential in a glass. Made from carefully sourced parcels across five leased sites, this is the estate’s vibrant take on cool-climate Chardonnay. Handpicked fruit is whole bunch pressed and wild fermented in barrel, then stirred through its nine-month oak maturation to build grip and drive.
This is not a Chardonnay that hides behind oak or blousy ripeness. It’s precise, sculpted, and built on a tension between citrus vibrancy, stone fruit flesh, and flinty detail. The wild ferment brings a savoury undercurrent and texture without muting the purity of fruit. Expect a wine that punches above its weight—bright enough to drink young, structured enough to age.
Drink now with grilled spanner crab, miso roast chicken, or a wedge of creamy washed rind. Will evolve beautifully over the next 3–5 years.

Reviews & Accolades
“Very primary and all about youthful appeal, with citrus, fresh ginger and bright acidity alongside a thin layer of texture via creamy lees. This will flesh out in time, but a good drink now.” – Jane Faulkner, Halliday Wine Companion, 90 points
“Bright lemon yellow hue. White peach, jasmine and struck flint aromas. Powerful on entry, lovely concentration of white peach fruits with lemon blossom and oyster shell complexity. Acidity rides high, keeping it driven and tense with a drying focus into the very long finish. This is serious Chardonnay at a very reasonable price.” – Stuart Knox, The Real Review, 94 points paringaestate.com.au
“Alluring, ripe citrus, peach and nectarine are all evident in the glass from the warmth of the Mornington Peninsula's sun‑kissed vineyards. Great depth of character here with refreshing saline notes and a touch of vanilla and ginger spice evident from a short time in French oak barrels. An excellent wine, from one of the region’s leading wineries.” – Tanners Wines tanners-wines.co.uktanners-wines.co.uk
