Encased in a striking bottle adorned with powdered gold, this is more than just a champagne—it's a collector’s masterpiece, perfect for celebratory moments and cellaring for future brilliance.
Founded in 1812 by André-Michel Pierlot, Laurent-Perrier has a storied history rooted in the Grand Cru village of Tours-sur-Marne. Following Pierlot’s legacy, the House was eventually passed to Eugène Laurent and later his widow, Mathilde-Emilie Perrier, who established Laurent-Perrier as a leader in fine Champagne with her “Grand Vin Sans Sucre.” In 1939, Marie-Louise de Nonancourt acquired the estate, and her son, Bernard, revolutionised the House post-war, transforming it into a global icon synonymous with freshness and elegance.
Today, Laurent-Perrier remains family-owned, with Bernard’s daughters and Michel Fauconnet, Cellar Master since 2004, continuing the commitment to quality and independence. The arrival of Lucie Pereyre de Nonancourt in 2019 further reinforces the House’s innovative spirit and dedication to excellence.
Rooted in the chalk-rich soils of Champagne, Laurent-Perrier's philosophy is centred on minimal intervention, allowing the purity of their Grand Cru vineyards to shine through. For Alexandra Rosé, only the most exceptional Grand Cru plots are selected, ensuring both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes reach peak maturity at the same time. Their signature soak-on-the-skins maceration technique for Pinot Noir brings out the depth and richness, while the addition of Chardonnay introduces finesse and freshness. Sustainable and precision-driven viticulture defines Laurent-Perrier’s approach, resulting in champagnes that are both expressive and age-worthy.
The nose opens with an enticing blend of fresh strawberries and redcurrants, mingling with candied fruit. Subtle floral hints of rose petals and dried violets add an elegant layer, with a touch of tangerine zest and blood orange.
On the palate, the Pinot Noir shines with ripe red fruits—strawberries and raspberries—accompanied by the freshness of citrus and delicate minerality. The 20% Chardonnay adds finesse and balance, bringing a silky texture to this full-bodied champagne.
A long, refined finish of strawberries and blackcurrants, with a hint of saline minerality, leaves a lasting impression. The finish is delicate yet powerful, perfectly rounding off the wine's elegant structure.

The Maker
Laurent-Perrier is a name synonymous with pioneering craftsmanship in Champagne, especially when it comes to rosé. Established in 1812, the house has continued to push boundaries, balancing tradition with innovation. Alexandra Rosé, first launched in 1987 from the 1982 vintage, is the hallmark of Laurent-Perrier’s devotion to creating exceptional prestige cuvées, with a focus on refining the essence of Pinot Noir through their unique vinification methods.
The Vineyard or The Philosophy
Rooted in the chalk-rich soils of Champagne, Laurent-Perrier's philosophy is centred on minimal intervention, allowing the purity of their Grand Cru vineyards to shine through. For Alexandra Rosé, only the most exceptional Grand Cru plots are selected, ensuring both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes reach peak maturity at the same time. Sustainable and precision-driven viticulture defines Laurent-Perrier’s approach, resulting in champagnes that are both expressive and age-worthy.
NOSE
Vibrant, Fruity, Floral
The nose opens with an enticing blend of fresh strawberries and redcurrants, mingling with candied fruit. Subtle floral hints of rose petals and dried violets add an elegant layer, with a touch of tangerine zest and blood orange.
PALATE
Elegant, Full-Bodied, Balanced
On the palate, the Pinot Noir shines with ripe red fruits—strawberries and raspberries—accompanied by the freshness of citrus and delicate minerality. The 20% Chardonnay adds finesse and balance, bringing a silky texture to this full-bodied champagne.
FINISH
Lingering, Fruity, Complex
A long, refined finish of strawberries and blackcurrants, with a hint of saline minerality, leaves a lasting impression. The finish is delicate yet powerful, perfectly rounding off the wine's elegant structure.
Disgorged in 2012 after eight years sur lattes, the 2004 Brut Alexandra Grande Cuvée Rosé has really begun to develop some complexity after seven years on cork. Salmon-pink in hue, the wine wafts from the glass with a beautiful bouquet of blood orange, iodine, dried rose petals, aromatic bitters and tangerine. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, pure and racy, with a delicate pinpoint mousse, good concentration at the core and a long, saline finish. Readers who have had the foresight to cellar a few bottles should pop a cork or two, as this rosé is showing brilliantly. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate, 95 Points.
