    Katsaros Distillery is a 4th generation, family run distillery, originally located Tirnavos and is the old distillery of ouzo in Greece. It all started in the region of Tirnavos, Greece in 1856. Nikolaos Katsaros’s cauldron of raki created a spirit of exceptional taste and unique aroma, that spirit ouzo. The original recipe that created the Ouzo Katsaros is a closely guarded family secret. Comprised of 14 herbs and seeds, cut with the crystal clear water of Olympus.

    Today, Katsaros Distillery is situated on a private 6000 sqm property where modern technology blends seamlessly with rich tradition. It all began with Nikolaos Katsaros, who inherited a copper still and innovatively mastered the art of distillation, creating Greece's beloved "national drink," known to the rest of us as Ouzo Tirnavou. Through years of dedication and meticulous refinement in every production stage, Nikolaos Katsaros established a legacy passed down through generations. Located deliberately in Thessaly, the heart of Tirnavos, this estate celebrates its unique origins, as no other region matches its commitment to cultivating this cherished spirit.
