Jack Daniel’s 10 Year Old Batch 5 Tennessee Whiskey is the 2026 release in the distillery’s annual Aged Series, created to explore the influence of extended maturation on its classic Tennessee Whiskey character. The expression continues a programme first introduced in 2021, when Jack Daniel’s released its first whiskey carrying a ten-year age statement in more than a century. Batch 5 is produced from the distillery’s established mash bill of 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye. Following distillation in Lynchburg, the spirit is mellowed drop by drop through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal in accordance with the distillery’s signature process. It is then matured for a full decade in new American white oak barrels, allowing seasonal temperature changes and varying conditions within the rickhouses to deepen its interaction with the wood.

Bottled at 97 proof, or 48.5% ABV, Batch 5 combines mature oak structure with the familiar fruit, caramel and spice characteristics associated with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey. Aromas of cooked apple and caramel are layered with soft oak, leading into a palate of rich molasses, chocolate and barrel spices. The additional maturation contributes greater concentration, complexity and layers of oak, char and warming spice. Its finish is exceptionally long and warm, allowing the darker sweetness and seasoned barrel character to linger. Released in limited quantities in a 700ml bottle, Batch 5 is available in the United States and selected international markets. This measured, age-driven expression offers a deeper and more contemplative interpretation of the traditional Jack Daniel’s profile while remaining firmly grounded in the distillery’s historic production methods.

      Jack Daniel Distillery

Founded in 1866 by Jasper Newton Daniel, the Jack Daniel’s Distillery stands as one of the most iconic and historically significant whiskey producers in the United States. Located in Lynchburg, Tennessee, the distillery was the first registered distillery in the country, setting a benchmark for American whiskey production that continues to resonate today. From its earliest days,

Jack Daniel’s established a reputation for consistency and character, crafting whiskey that would become synonymous with Tennessee’s distinct identity. The distillery draws its water from the Cave Spring Hollow, a natural limestone spring that provides iron-free water essential for producing a clean, balanced spirit. Over the decades, Jack Daniel’s has evolved from a small, local operation into a globally recognized name, yet it has remained firmly rooted in its place of origin. The brand’s signature square bottle and black label have become symbols of both tradition and timeless design. Despite its scale, the distillery continues to operate with a strong sense of heritage, preserving methods that have been passed down through generations. Master distillers, including figures such as Jeff Arnett and Chris Fletcher, have carried forward the house style while ensuring quality remains uncompromised. Today, Jack Daniel’s Distillery represents a rare balance of global influence and local craftsmanship, maintaining its legacy as a defining force in American whiskey.
