GlenAllachie 12 Year Old Pedro Ximenez Sherry Wood Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml

The GlenAllachie Distillery was designed in 1967 by William-Delme Evans and built by Mackinlay McPherson. This was the fourth distillery designed by Evans and was created to be almost full gravity fed to run on reduced energy. The first production run for the distillery was in February 1968 and began with just two stills, further increasing to four after just six months.

This glorious rich mahogany malt has been matured for over ten years in American Oak Wood Barrels. The additional 2 year maturation in richly seasoned Pedro Ximenez Puncheons enriches the flavour, creating a sweeter, fruitier whisky. The casks are regularly monitored to ensure the perfect balance between the regular single malt and this luscious dessert sherry. Natural colour, non chill-filtered and bottled at 48%. 

Rich Mahogany in colour the nose is full of raisins, sultanas, dark chocolate, bananas and orange peel. the palate is brimming with flavours of fruit cake, dark chocolate, toffee, bananas, orange peel and sweet spices.
