Embodying a passionate personality, Mumm Grand Cordon Rosé expresses its intense, fruity character with rich aromas of wild red and black berries, typical of the Pinot Noir grape variety cultivated in Maison Mumm’s legendary vineyards in the Champagne region of France.
Rosé champagnes have a long history at Maison Mumm. Early in the 19th century, the father of Georges Hermann Mumm was already producing a well-regarded “oeil de perdrix” champagne (its deep pink hue recalled the color of a partridge’s eye, hence the name).
The avant-garde bottle of Mumm Grand Cordon Rosé has no label (a first for Champagne): instead, the House’s iconic red ribbon is engraved directly into the glass, a technical feat conceived and achieved in collaboration with a ward-winning designer.
The power and structure of Pinot Noir is delicately balanced with the elegance of Chardonnay and the fruitiness of Meunier. A portion of red wine brings intensity and notes of forest fruits and spice to this elegant blend to create a brut rosé champagne that is at once light, intense, and fresh.
Beneath its pale salmon-pink colour with subtle orange highlights, Mumm Grand Cordon Rosé reveals surprising aromatic complexity, reflecting both the House’s style and its excellence in creating expressive champagnes. Above and beyond its elegance and vivacity, this champagne showcases the roundness and balance of Pinot Meunier, the elegance of Chardonnay and the power of Pinot Noir, all from the very best Champagne crus. This blend offers fresh aromas of red fruit lollies with intense strawberry and redcurrant notes, underpinned by a touch of spice and red fruit coulis. The palate reveals elegant and intense flavours in perfect harmony.
