Product Description
Precise, fragrant and beautifully weighted from the first pour. The 2024 Felton Road Bannockburn Pinot Noir draws from all four of the estate’s Central Otago vineyards: Cornish Point, Calvert, MacMuir and The Elms. Each contributes nuance to a wine firmly rooted in place. Made under full organic and biodynamic certification, with no fining or filtration, this is a transparent expression of Bannockburn Pinot Noir shaped by a vintage of low yields, long ripening and cool night air.
Wild-fermented with a portion of whole bunches and matured in just 20 percent new oak, it captures the black cherry and spice profile typical of the region while layering in darker floral and savoury notes. The winery’s gravity-fed process and hands-off approach are felt in the purity of fruit and tension across the palate. This is serious, site-led Pinot with detail and quiet force.

Reviews & Accolades
This wine makes my heart beat faster. It is delicate yet powerful, ethereal but wonderfully harmonious. I love its beautifully nuanced array of flavours that are displayed like the colours on a peacock’s tail and linger long after the wine has been swallowed. I have a cast-iron rule that prevents me from swallowing wine samples during tastings. I managed to stick to my guns. It wasn’t easy.
