Domaine Laroche Reserve Chardonnay 2024 is a fresh and expressive French Chardonnay shaped by the Burgundian expertise of one of Chablis’ most recognised producers. Although Laroche is strongly associated with Chablis, this cuvée comes from selected plots in the Limoux region and is classified as IGP Pays d’Oc. The elevated, cool-climate vineyards of Limoux allow Chardonnay to ripen slowly while preserving natural acidity and freshness. Made from 100% Chardonnay, the wine is crafted to offer both approachability and structure. Partial barrel ageing adds subtle texture and gentle toasted complexity without overwhelming the purity of the fruit.

The 2024 vintage presents a clean and balanced style, combining ripe orchard fruit with citrus lift and a mineral edge. Aromas of pear, white peach, lime and delicate floral notes lead into a medium-bodied palate with smooth fruit and refreshing acidity. The wine carries a lightly creamy texture, supported by restrained oak influence and a crisp, dry finish. Its balance of freshness, fruit and gentle structure makes it a versatile choice for seafood, soft cheeses, roast chicken, creamy pasta and lighter white meat dishes. It is an excellent introduction to Laroche’s Chardonnay style beyond Chablis, offering precision, value and everyday elegance.

      Domaine Laroche

Domaine Laroche is one of the historic names of Chablis, with a winemaking heritage closely connected to the region and its celebrated Chardonnay vineyards. The estate manages approximately 90 hectares of vines across some of Chablis’ most distinguished crus, producing wines that reflect the purity, minerality and precision associated with northern Burgundy. At the heart of Domaine Laroche is the Obédiencerie, an ancient monastery whose historic cellars date back to the ninth century and remain an important part of the estate’s winemaking identity. Domaine Laroche continues to vinify and mature its Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines within these remarkable cellars, preserving a direct connection between its modern wines and more than a thousand years of local viticultural history. Beyond Chablis, Laroche has extended its Chardonnay expertise to carefully selected vineyards in the South of France, particularly cooler and higher-altitude sites where the variety can retain freshness and natural acidity. Its southern wines are crafted at La Chevalière, where Burgundian winemaking knowledge is applied to the distinctive climates and soils of regions such as Limoux, the Orb Valley and the Cévennes foothills. Laroche Chardonnay Réserve represents this meeting of Burgundian experience and southern French terroir, using Chardonnay from selected Limoux plots and partial barrel maturation to create greater structure and complexity.
