      Domaine Gérard Duplessis is a historic estate with roots dating back over 125 years to 1895. Currently under the direction of Lilian Duplessis, the winery is situated in the heart of the renowned Chablis region, where it nurtures approximately 8 hectares of vineyards spread across 20 distinctive plots. Several of these plots contain vines that have been cultivated for as long as 75 years, requiring meticulous care through their commitment to organic viticulture. The domaine takes great pride in its collection of prestigious Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards, including Vaugiraut, Mont-de-Milieu, Fourchaume, Montée-de-Tonnerre, Montmains and Vaillons - all of which are revered among the most discerning Chablis connoisseurs.       The 2020 Domaine Gerard Duplessis Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons is a compelling blend of Chardonnay grapes sourced from four southeast-facing plots situated on clay-sandy soils. This seductive wine displays the potential to evolve beautifully in the cellar over a mid-to-long aging window of 5 to 10 years. On the nose, it unveils an alluring bouquet of exotic aromas. The palate offers a broad range of ripe orchard and stone fruit flavors balanced by crisp acidity, culminating in a lush and lingering finish.       1.5 hect across 4 parcels. Minots, Chatains, Epinottes and Vaillons. Average age of 60 years old. All parcels vinified separated then blended before bottling. Across the 1er Cru’s this wine is often seemingly the most ‘exotic’, perhaps not in terms of weight but aromatics.
