Le Domaine des Perdrix was not a renowned estate until the Devillard family took its management in 1996. The quality of the vineyards, their rigorous management and vinification have established the Domaine des Perdrix as a renowned Domaine, one of the best among the "Grands Vins de Bourgogne". This domaine extends over 30 acres in the great terroirs of : Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Nuits-Saint Georges Premier Cru "Aux perdrix" (which is owned in quasi monopoly, as the Doamine owns 99% of this great vineyard) and Echézeaux Grand Cru (situated in "Echézeaux du dessus", right in the centre of this prestigious vineyard).
To preserve their integrity, grapes are carefully harvested and sorted out by hand. Before beginning the alcoholic fermentation the winery makes a cold pre-fermentation during 4 to 6 days to work on the phelonic component's extraction.
Domaine des Perdrix Vosne-Romanée 2019 vintage is a deep and shining red color with purple reflects in the glass.. The nose is complex and delicate. It develops floral (violet) and spicy notes (black pepper). Tannins are smooth. Great balance between the structure of the tannins and the roundness.
