The little valley between two other grand crus (Les Clos and Vaudesir), Valmur is definitely a terroir mainly composed of clays. Our two parcels benefit from two exposures: 70 acres southeast and 30 acres northeast (1 ha in total). Our vines are more than 60 years old. They produce a very full-bodied and powerful wine. Overall, there is very good freshness and verve to the wines plus they have a certain tenderness that the bigger and more robust 2019s don't have. They should be approachable on the younger side, but the balance is so good that they should age well too.
