      Nestled in the heart of the prestigious Premiers Crus vineyards of Santenay, Domaine Chanson’s 1.1-hectare Beauregard plot is perched at the top of the hill, where the soil, rich in stones, imparts a unique minerality to the wine. This small, southern Burgundy village produces a Pinot Noir with the distinct characteristics of the terroir, offering complexity, elegance, and a beautiful expression of fruit.

      2020 began with a mild winter and an early, summery spring, which led to rapid vine growth and an early bud break. The mild frost in May had minimal impact, and the warmer months brought heatwaves and a summer drought, particularly affecting the clay soils, which resisted the water stress well. The harvest commenced under sunny conditions in late August, with the resulting wines being concentrated and rich, yet well-defined, showcasing the terroir despite reduced volumes from frost damage.

      This wine pairs wonderfully with mild cheeses, roast meats, and poultry dishes with sauce, highlighting its versatility and refined structure.
