      Situated south of the renowned Corton hill, Domaine Chanson’s 5.3-hectare plot in the prestigious "Les Vergelesses" vineyard produces wines of remarkable complexity and power. The vineyard benefits from a unique terroir, with stony soils at the top and clay-rich soils at the bottom, which impart a rich, mineral-driven profile. The 2020 vintage, marked by a mild winter and a warm, early spring, saw an early bud break and robust vine growth. While May frost caused minor setbacks, the following dry conditions, punctuated by a few heatwaves, allowed the vines to thrive. The reds of 2020 are concentrated and beautifully defined, offering an expressive and generous character that highlights the terroir’s unique qualities, though with slightly reduced volumes due to the frost. The wine showcases great depth, balance, and refined structure.

      Perfectly paired with grilled rib-eye steak, roasted red meats, game dishes, and regional cheeses such as Brillat-Savarin, Epoisses, Citeaux, and Langres.
