Named after the Marcomanni tribe, the vineyard is blessed with clay soils that allowed the vines to withstand the challenges of a dry, heatwave-prone summer in 2020. The wine is a true expression of this unique terroir, with 100% Pinot Noir grapes harvested early in August, which gave birth to a wine of exceptional depth and concentration. The wine spent time in French oak, imparting subtle complexity to the fruit-forward profile. Aged for precision, this wine offers a striking balance of fruit, tannin, and spice, with a long, persistent finish that promises further development with age.
