Delord Armagnac-Tenareze 1979 vintage comes from the Tenareze region, which is something we do not often see in Australia as most are from Bas Armagnac. The soil is more of clay and limestone than the sandier soil of other regions. Tenareze distillate can be more powerful and benefit from longer ageing. This Armagnac has a fruit nose with cherry plum-mirabelle, kirsch, and cherry stone. The palate has flavours of liquorice and bitter orange. A long and mellow finish.
