The journey to perfecting Casamigos was a labour of love, as George, Rande and Mike dedicated themselves to the creation of this exceptional spirit in Jalisco, Mexico. Years were spent refining their craft, conducting countless blind tastings until they knew they had achieved perfection. Initially, Casamigos was never intended to be released to the public; it was a tequila and mezcal reserved solely for their personal enjoyment. In fact, it has become a staple in their homes in Mexico, affectionately known as their "house tequila." However, to their delight, Casamigos has captured the hearts of consumers. Its authenticity and unparalleled quality have garnered immense appreciation and admiration.

The tequila-making process behind Casamigos is a testament to the commitment to excellence. Situated in Jalisco, Mexico, the team hand-selects only the finest 100% Blue Weber agaves, ensuring that each sip is a testament to the spirit's quality. The agave piñas are meticulously roasted in traditional brick ovens, allowing for a slow and precise process that imparts a distinct flavour profile. On the other hand, Casamigos Mezcal is a testament to the artistry and tradition of Oaxaca, Mexico. The team carefully hand-selects the finest 100% Espadín agaves, ensuring that the integrity of the spirit remains uncompromised. The piñas, once harvested, are split and laid to cook for 4-6 days in earthen pits lined with volcanic or river rock. This slow-roasting process allows for even cooking without caramelization, resulting in a mezcal that is rich in flavour and authenticity. Following the roasting process, the piñas are cooled for 24 hours, allowing the flavors to harmonize. The crushing process begins, utilizing a Tahona wheel to extract the essence of the agave. Depending on the season, Casamigos Mezcal then undergoes a delicate fermentation process that spans 6-8 days before it is distilled in covered copper pot stills. The result is a mezcal that embodies the spirit of Oaxaca, capturing the essence of its rich heritage.

The filtration process for Casamigos Blanco Tequila is a crucial step in preserving its crisp agave flavour while maintaining some of the nuanced cask notes acquired during aging. After being distilled twice and aged in American white oak barrels, the tequila undergoes meticulous charcoal filtration to remove impurities and enhance the essence of the agave. This process carefully balances the vibrant agave flavour with the subtle influence of the oak, resulting in a Blanco Tequila that is both vibrant and nuanced.
