At Maison Camille Giroud, a diversity of terroir allows for delicious variety. From perfumed, plush reds to perfumed whites; their precise wines are made from plots all across the famed Côte d’Or – what unites each parcel is a signature precision and character.
From 50 year old vines located in Charmes-Chambertin, facing to the south-east at an altitude of 250 metres, it is grown in fine brown limestone soils. The 2018 Camille Giroud Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is 100% whole bunch. A deep crimson in colour, with a complex range of dark red fruits on the nose and underlying white pepper notes. The medium-bodied palate is balanced and well structured featuring ripe red cherries mixed with orange peel and apricot.
