      The 2023 Farrside Pinot Noir comes from the northeast-facing slope of the Farrside vineyard, where darker volcanic soils over limestone and a cooler microclimate bring depth, tension and a touch of wildness to the wine. Though just 300 metres from Sangreal, Farrside is its darker sibling—more brooding, more mineral, more structure.

      Fermented with up to 50% whole bunch and wild yeasts, this release has coiled power, bristling savouriness, and remarkable purity. It’s a wine that reveals itself slowly—layers of red and black fruit, meaty spice, dried herbs, and graphite. With 18 months in French oak (50–60% new), the tannins are firm but filigree. It’s bold yet balanced, confident without ever needing to shout.

      Let it breathe or lay it down—either way, this is one for the ages.
