      Amisfield Pinot Gris 2025 is a beautifully crafted cool-climate white wine from Central Otago, one of New Zealand’s most celebrated wine regions. Produced from estate-grown fruit sourced from the Pisa subregion, the wine reflects Amisfield’s commitment to expressing the unique character of its high-altitude vineyards. The vineyard sites are planted on a combination of Lochar stony gravels and shallow sandy loam soils, contributing both mineral tension and aromatic complexity to the finished wine. The 2025 growing season delivered excellent fruit quality despite challenging weather conditions, resulting in a wine of purity, concentration and balance. Following harvest, the grapes were gently pressed and settled before fermentation in a combination of stainless steel tanks and large oak barrels, with approximately 25% undergoing natural fermentation in oak. The wine was then matured on fine lees for four months to enhance texture and complexity.

      The 2025 vintage showcases the elegance and precision that have become hallmarks of Amisfield Pinot Gris. Aromatically expressive, it reveals layers of nashi pear, white peach and red apple alongside delicate floral notes and hints of sweet spice. The palate is vibrant and textured, combining juicy fruit flavours with refreshing acidity and subtle barrel-derived richness. A distinctive mineral thread, characteristic of the Pisa subregion, provides structure and freshness throughout. The wine balances generosity and finesse with remarkable ease, leading to a long and harmonious finish. Equally suited to immediate enjoyment or short-term cellaring, it pairs beautifully with seafood, pork dishes, Asian cuisine and soft cheeses.
