In the debut expression of the Edition Series, The Macallan Edition No. 1 Single Malt Scotch Whisky, celebrates the distilleries unparalleled oak management policy overseeing the entire processing from wood sourcing to finished, seasoned, cask. Showcasing the influence of The Macallan’s exceptional oak casks in the flavour of the whisky, the result is a bold single malt drawn from eight of the finest European and American oak cask styles and sizes. Sherry-seasoned and aged to perfection before being combined to create this rich and multidimensional whisky, the character of each cask style lives within the whisky itself. 

This whisky has a natural honey colour. The nose has aromas of apple, orange, and dried fruits, following by chocolate, toffee, and vanilla underlay oak overtones. The palate begins with warm wooden spices followed by cinnamon, nutmeg, dried ginger and toffee. Later there is an appearance of fruit, balanced with fresh oak. A soft and lingering finish.
