A vintage Champagne shaped by time, reimagined through the lens of Takashi Murakami. Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 Limited Edition arrives in a specially designed release that merges the Maison’s layered elegance with Murakami’s vibrant visual world. The collaboration invites a different kind of time capsule, a moment of creative clarity captured in bottle and artwork.
Vintage 2015 reflects a growing season defined by contrast: a hot, dry summer balanced by strategic rains and a late harvest. The result is a wine of deep structure, vibrant acidity, and restrained opulence. Murakami’s smiling floral motifs animate the bottle and coffret with colour and lightness, drawing out the tension between precision and play that defines both the wine and the artist’s vision.

All creative processes have their constraints. Dom Pérignon's constraint is the Vintage: Dom Pérignon can only be produced from the harvest of a single year. Dom Pérignon's ambition is to bear witness to each year, whatever the challenges may be. Dom Pierre Pérignon dares to put itself on the line, to take risks, to go as far as accepting that it will not declare the vintage. Dom Pérignon's creative legacy is this reinvention of its work with each vintage. Dom Pérignon Vintage is the culmination of the elaboration and creative processes. It embodies the vision. Dom Pérignon Vintage expresses itself fully in its three dimensions: The year: the character of the seasons The Plénitudes: evolution by successive windows of expression on the way of the long maturation on lees. The colour: White or Rosé. These three dimensions are inseparable, and no combination is quite like any other. Each has its own space and time. As such, Dom Pérignon can only be the sum total of all past Vintages, and those yet to come.
Takashi Murakami is one of Japan’s most influential contemporary artists, known for blending traditional Japanese art forms with pop culture, anime, and a sharp, postmodern edge. Trained in classical Nihonga painting, he rose to global prominence through his "Superflat" aesthetic, which flattens distinctions between high and low art, and between historical reference and hyper-contemporary expression.
His iconic motifs — particularly the smiling flower — have become shorthand for his colourful yet subversive visual world. Murakami’s work spans painting, sculpture, fashion, and film, often exploring themes of consumerism, impermanence, and joy. His collaboration with Dom Pérignon reflects a shared commitment to pushing boundaries while preserving craft, transforming each bottle into a collectible intersection of fine wine and contemporary art.
Deep, roasted notes of cacao powder and toasted aromas, gradually unfolding to reveal floral fragrances of lime blossom, jasmine, and peony. A spicy dimension of anise and cardamom adds depth, while a touch of green papaya and orange peel invigorate the overall profile.
The wine is broad and tactile, spreading across the tongue with a delicate yet generous texture. Fresh peach, nectarine, and citrus are complemented by sculpted bitter notes of citrus and gentian, creating a harmonious and balanced tasting experience.
The finish is long and smooth, with a lingering sweetness that ties together the bright, fresh fruit and the subtle bitterness. The wine’s vibrant acidity and finely textured tannins leave a lasting, memorable impression.
