Sami-Odi is a small winery in the Barossa Valley producing the smallest about of Syrah at the highest quality. The grapes come from separate selected pots from Barossa's finest vineyards. Wine maker Fraser McKinley tends to use organic principles, producing his wines using whole bunches., and sometimes blending across barrels, sites, and vintages. In 2014 he was named the Young Gun of Wine.

Fraser is known for his commitment to producing high-quality, small-batch Syrah from the Hoffmann's 'Dallwitz' vineyard in the Barossa Valley, home to some of Australia's oldest vines dating back to 1888. Fraser carefully selects the finest fruit to craft his cuvées, resulting in wines that are highly sought after by collectors. Sami-Odi Hoffmann Little Wine 13 Syrah NV is a remarkable unvintaged blend, artfully combining casks from a range of years: 2023 (27%), 2022 (36%), 2021 (19%), 2020 (7%), 2019 (6%), 2018 (2%), 2017 (1%), 2016 (1%) and 2015 (1%). This exquisite blend is sourced from five esteemed plots within the Hoffmann’s 'Dallwitz' vineyard, featuring vines planted in 1996, 1995, 1994, 1927 and the oldest vines planted prior to 1912. A total of 6348 bottles were filled, each adorned with a captivating checkerboard label drawn in 2023. This wine is a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship and dedication of Sami-Odi, offering a unique and captivating expression of the vineyard's heritage and the vintages it encompasses, showcasing the harmonious union of casks from various years.
