St Hugo is a story of legacy and reinvention, their team honour the traditions of winemaking legend Hugo Gramp. Grandson of pioneering vigneron Johann Gramp and founder of Gramp & Sons winery in 1847. Bringing his historical vision of not only the brand but the Barossa into the modern world.

St Hugo pays tribute to its namesake Hugo, and each vintage they make is in celebration of his love of the land he grew up on, from their first vintage in 1980. The St Hugo wines showcase deep respect for the grapes grown on our sites by turning them into wines with structure, power and elegance. The wines are crafted to be part of your celebrations with loved ones all over the world – from their vineyards to your table.

Each vintage, after regular berry tasting throughout the  ripening period, St Hugo's winemakers select from amongst some of the best fruit from the Eden Valley vineyards to create St Hugo Eden Valley Riesling.

St Hugo Riesling from Eden Valley shows a light yellow hue. This elegant wine opens with a bouquet of pure floral and citrus aromatics, accompanied by lavender. The intense and dry palate showcases flavours of lime, white pepper and subtle talc. These flavours are supported by taut acidity, minerality, and a very long finish. A superb white wine, this Riesling is best enjoyed young and fresh, but can also be cellared for 18 months from vintage. The dry and zesty nature of this Riesling makes it a great pairing with fresh seafood, sashimi, or Asian inspired dishes.

Pale straw, vibrant and pale in the glass. Pretty aromas of white flowers, lemon rind, talc, grapefruit pith and wet slate. Tight, focused, punchy and precise in flavour. Citrus, mineral and rapier-like acidity are all at play and are doing their glorious thing. It has purity and displays a terrific sense of place. - The Real Review, 95 Points.
