The Cabernet Sauvignon in this blend is sourced from Beechworth, a region renowned for this variety. The Sangiovese, Nebbiolo and Shiraz are picked from Pizzini's own leading vineyard sites. Each parcel of fruit is aged separately in oak prior to blending and bottling.
Il Barone has nuances of spice, liquorice, cherry and leather. The full bodied palate is rich and seductive. It displays elegance and finesse with a lingering finish that is refined by fine chalky tannins. This wine can be cellared until 2032.
