Deep Woods Ivory Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Deep Woods Ivory Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2018 is a refreshing, crisp wine with flavours of citrus and passionfruit, with hints of lemongrass playing throughout. Very pale in colour with fantastic green hues, the aroma is a punch and vibrant one with scents of lime and guava, intertwined with lemon blossom. A nice acidity helps add complexity and provides the backbone to make this Semillon Sauvignon Blanc oh so delicious. Made from premium fruit from across the Margaret River region, this wine is dry and summery, perfectly suited for early-drinking and best served chilled. Deep Woods Ivory is best enjoyed within the first two years from the vintage to better capture the freshness and vibrancy of the wine. One has endless options to pair with, but try with scallops, chorizo and grapes for a wonderfully balanced meal.  

The 2018 vintage was absolutely outstanding. The growing season with moderate, without the heat spikes that many past vintages experienced. The ideal growing season lead the wines beautiful aromas that remind the drinker how expectional a Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blend can be. The Semillon grapes come from the northern part of the region, where it attained full ripeness. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes arrived from the very south of Margaret River, where the most exuberant fruit is found.
