The stunning lead-free crystal crafted from low-iron sand, expertly blended with a proprietary mix of metals and purifiers for unparalleled clarity and strength. Designed to enhance your wine experience, the glass features a broader base and gentle conical shape acts as a built in decanter, amplifying aromas and bouquet and you pour and swirl. Precise and strong. With a laser-cut, diamond-polished rim that is both incredibly thin and chip-resistant, every detail is precise. Its seamless construction ensures durability, as each piece is formed from a single piece of molten crystal without joints or glues. Plus, it’s dishwasher safe, tested in the EU for brilliance and clarity even after 1,000 washes.

Care instructions: For cleaning, powdered detergent is usually better than liquid. Use the top rack, ensure glass is stable and spaced out. Polish when damp and still steamy. Store in a well-ventilated area

Necessity is the mother of all invention. The glass is the brainchild of Swiss-German wine writer René Gabriel, who developed it with Austrian glass innovator Siegfried Seidl and launched it in 2010. Intriguingly, for René, “It was never the intention to make a wine glass but none of them gave me the pleasure and enjoyment I was looking for.” And so over his decades-long career René grew frustrated by the wide array of different wine glasses meant to “improve” on a specific variety. Convinced that a universal wine glass could be designed to flatter all types of wines, René embarked on a journey that would culminate in a glass that has won over some of the wine industry’s most discerning professionals: Sommeliers, Winemakers, and Chefs.

The glass has a unique selling point, as well as ticking the most important boxes for any great glass: it feels great in the hand and on the lip, and makes wine look, smell and taste the best it can. Its singularity lies in the fact that it is a universal glass – a single design that works for red and white wines, be they still, sparkling or sticky.

Philosophy:

It's All in the Details. The iconic Gabriel-Glas silhouette - that slightly conical, gently curved bowl - was inspired by the form of an unfurling rose. The shape, size, and proportions of the bowl act as an extension of the nose itself bringing the olfactory senses in close contact to the wine. The size of the aperture, the distance to the widest part of the glass, and the concave sides were all researched and developed to create a synergy that yields unbelievable wine enjoyment.
