Skinos Mastiha spirit conjures aromas of the Mediterranean hillside covered with wild herbs like crushed juniper and freshly cut mint leaves, like aromas of rain soaked cedarwood and violets. It's slightly sweet yet fresh, with delicate flavour and balance that makes it extremely versatile. It can be served neat, chilled, as an aperitif or digestif, or used in cocktails and even as a flavour enhancer in the kitchen giving a distinct Mediterranean touch.

Skinos is the authentic spirit of Greece, distilled from mastiha resin found only on the island of Chios. This rare ingredient, harvested from the Pistacia lentiscus tree, has been prized for over 3,000 years. Ancient Greeks used it as a remedy, Roman emperors infused their wines with it, and Ottoman sultans valued it as both delicacy and medicine.
Today, Skinos carries this heritage into the present, crafted with precision to preserve the unique flavour of mastiha. The result is a spirit with refreshing, aromatic character that connects modern drinkers to one of the Mediterranean’s oldest and most distinctive traditions.
The Mastiha tree, also known as the Mastic Tree (Pistacia lentiscus), is an evergreen native to the Mediterranean region. It thrives in the warm, sunny climate of the Greek islands, particularly Chios, where it produces a unique resin prized for its flavour and aromatic properties. This resin, known as mastic, is the key ingredient in Skinos Mastiha, capturing the essence of the Aegean landscape in every sip.
The mastiha tree is tapped, the resin is collected and dried until hard. It's then mixed with alcohol and distilled to extract the flavour, and finally sweetened and adjusted to bottling strength of 30% abv.
Clean pronounced mastikha with chalky minerality and hints of pine sap.
Lightly sweet with an almost minty pine needle freshness. Mellow and refined.
Clean and cleansing minerality throughout the long lasting finish.
