Red Claw wines are hand crafted with fruit from Yabby Lake’s own Victorian vineyards – Yabby Lake Vineyard on the Mornington Peninsula and Heathcote Estate in Heathcote. The wines are made following the same principles that guide the single vineyard wines. With Red Claw the emphasis is on making wines that are bright, juicy and more expressive when young.
The 2020 season on the Mornington Peninsula will long be remembered as a unique year – and not only for the super fine wines it produced. Ripening was even and the wines have great intensity and depth of flavour.
This Red Claw Pinot Gris has lovely freshness, lifted floral aromas and clean, fresh fruit flavours. Showing a hint of nashi pear, subtle spice and a long, finely textured palate.
