This multi-regional approach reflects the continuing evolution of Bin 23 and allows Penfolds to explore the distinctive characteristics of different vineyard sites and Pinot Noir clones. Winter and early spring provided adequate soil moisture across the sourcing regions, supporting even budburst and balanced vine canopies. Bright and translucent strawberry red in colour, it displays cherry, strawberry compote and raspberry-like fruit alongside rosehip, rhubarb, musk and lifted floral notes. The palate is poised and energetic, combining cherry pip, grapefruit, pomegranate and dried cranberry with a distinctive whetstone-like mineral character. Fine tannins quietly frame the fruit, while refreshing acidity provides tension, clarity and persistence.
