Annie Millton’s father, John Clark, established vineyards at Opou during the late 1960s, with Chardonnay planted there in 1969. James and Annie Millton later founded The Millton Vineyard in 1984 after gaining winemaking experience in France and Germany. Millton describes its signature collection as a range of varietal-specific, single-vineyard wines designed to express their individual sites. The clay-rich soils of Opou are associated with concentrated, expressive and creamy Chardonnay. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 2023 release opens with floral aromas of orange and white blossom, accompanied by honeyed and gently nutty nuances.
